Telus Set To Release Black's Photo App

Telus has made little movement with the Black's Photo brand after purchasing 113 locations about a year ago. Unless you count the fact they've found more places to sell Telus devices, and sometimes including prints or frames with new service. (Their current promotion:  1000 free prints a year with every new three-year contract. Not a bad deal really, and it shows they actually have an interest in pushing the Black's brand.)

Telus does seem to have a purpose for buying Black's Photo after all this time. They are in the works of developing an app for their Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry devices. The app will enable customers to order prints directly from their smartphones and, word has it, there will be image editing/enhancing features built in as well. Unfortunately, we do not have a screenshot of the app in action, but will update this story as its release nears.
