What would you say if you could use that vibrant Super AMOLED screen from your Galaxy S model, to watch DivX HD videos on it? Well now you will be able to do that, because Samsung Galaxy S has become the first certified Android phone to support DivX HD.
This means you will be able to play 720p videos on your phone, or at regular resolution if you so choose. The video is not going to show up in 720p resolution though, because your screen resolution is only 800×480, not 1280×720. But once Android 3.0 comes out we should be able to do that too on new phones.
If you don't own a Galaxy S, and you want to play DivX on your Android phone, too, check out the Rockplayer app from the Market.
