Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S) Source Code Released!

Samsung is a very smart company. They understand what us users want. They have already released the source code for the international version of the Galaxy S, and now they have taken it a step further and released the code for the Samsung Captivate. The Captivate is a Galaxy S phone carried by AT&T. This is big news for developers. They are now set to get creative. Developers can now create full custom ROMS that the root community can put on the phone. With an open source, we can start seeing applications and programs that will make our phones reach their full potential.

The source code is 160 megabytes and is free to whoever wants it. Pick it up at http://opensource.samsung.com/

Here is a funny note. As I write this, I just saw that Motorola has just released the source code for the Droid X. They don't want to be left out!
