Nokia Confirms Its Shun of Android

Well, Nokia has come out and definitively stated again that it will not consider the Android OS for future phones. Recently there was a question and answer session with Nokia's Niklas Savander hosted on Twitter. A question arose as to whether the Nokia might look to the Android platform to boost it place in the smartphone market. Not surprising, the answer was "AMEN!"

@diogoney: why does Nokia refuse to use Android? It has the hype, good press and devs Nokia needs so bad!

@NiklasatNokia: our platform choices (symbian and meego) gives us the best opp to deliver value and of course qt will play key role

@NiklasatNokia: AMEN! RT @LessThanDoug Android in not the ans. We need Symbian to be cleaned up and given more power and better UI, now though

Nokia has been known to put out some nice phones in the past, but their stubbornness may cost them. Android is what is in right now. However, Nokia is standing behind its Symbian and Meego platforms for the forseeable future. Let's see where this goes....
