Motorola Charm gets official on T-Mobile

The Motorola Charm, suspected to be appearing August 25, has just been made official on the T-Mobile website, with a coming soon message.  This has been a very well-leaked device.  We already saw the dummy display phones coming in.  We also saw that the off-contract price is probably between $250 and $270.  We heard a bit about delays.  Finally, we think that it will be free on a contract family plan.

It will come in two colors, bronze and cabernet. Some of the specs include a 2.8 inch 320x240 pixel gorilla glass display, a back trackpad for scrolling, 512 MB ROM, Eclair 2.1, Motoblur, front facing QWERTY, WiFi b/g/n, and a second mic for noise cancellation.  It is unclear at this point how much RAM or CPU speed, but it is thought that it will be running at 600 MHz and maybe 512 MB RAM.

I think this is a great phone for the price.  It is pretty cute, and has great features if you don't feel you need the latest and greatest.  The Blackberry-like QWERTY is definitely and interesting choice, we shall see how it pans out with Android.
