Soft Pauer Sporting Solutions now has a Formula 1 timing application for Android 2.1. This is a live timing and track positioning app, which until now was only available on Apple platforms. Soft Pauer delayed the Android launch until wider UK availability of Eclair. The newest version 2.5, uploaded to the Market today, can support some older 1.6 (Donut) devices with 3D chips (such as HTC Magic).
With F1 Timing App, you should be able to follow all drivers, track layouts, and live timing for each race in the 2010 F1 series. Breaking news, commentary, and background information provide more Formula 1 yumminess.
Too bad the App name is about as exciting as a Honda Civic owners' manual. Also not clear is whether an upgrade for the 2011 circuit is included in the £14.99/€19.99 price, or whether "the entire season" is all you get. You do have a choice of English, French or German.
