Android Tablet 1&1 Drops in Germany

German internet provider 1 &1 has released a new 7" tablet for its home subscribers. This tablet is Android based, is touch screen and has the capability to use WiFi and a USB 3G modem. The tablet will come with pre-installed apps including a digital photo frame viewer, e book and weather widgets. There will also be an optional dock along with a remote control and sub-woofer. The tablet will have a 500 MHz ARM11 processor with 256 MB RAM/1 GB ROM and will ship running Android 1.6. IT appears that an update to 2.2 will come in September. The major down side to this device is that there is no app market access. It will come with its own version of an app store with 100 titles.
