HTC One M9 Hands On AH 1

HTC One M9 Information:

HTC One M9 is a successor to the company’s 2014 flagship, the One (M8). These two handsets look quite similar, though HTC did improve upon some things here. The company has upped the internal specs, of course, and has also opted to use a “normal” 20-megapixel snapper this time around instead of the 4MP UltraPixel Duo Camera shooters that they used a year before. The phone is now also less slippery, even though it’s still made out of aluminum. HTC One M9 is the company’s 2015 flagship, let’s check out its specifications.

The One M9, features a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 128GB). Qualcomm’s 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor is powering on this handset, and an Adreno 430 GPU is in charge of graphics. A 20-megapixel camera is located on the back of this handset along with a dual-LED flash. On the front of the device you’ll find a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera, which was located on the back of HTC One (M8). This device supports Cat.9 4G LTE connectivity speeds, and ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7 UI on top of it. The HTC One M9 measures 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.6mm and weighs 157 grams. HTC One M9 Editor Rating:

HTC One M9 certainly is an improvement over the company’s 2014 flagship, is it enough of an improvement though? Well, opinions differ here, but HTC could have done more here. They did improve upon some thing that the people were complaining about, but the camera is still not the best, and the company didn’t differentiate enough here. Other than that, this is a great device, as a flagship should be. The One M9 packs in some serious firepower and can compete with the best of them, not to mention that it’s still a really, really good looking device. Should you buy it? It depends on what you’re looking for in a smartphone, if you can put up with One M9’s downsides, sure, go for it.
