The Samsung Galaxy S7 Series Earns Top Rating In Europe

April 14, 2016 - Written By Mihai Matei

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are probably the two most popular smartphones in the world right now, and this is largely due to the fact that the new flagships are considered to be the best the market has to offer. After Consumer Reports gave the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge the best smartphone ratings in the U.S., it’s now time for European-based consumer magazines to share their thoughts on the latest flagship. Unsurprisingly, Samsung’s latest premium series seems to have earned the highest rating from leading consumer media in five major countries of Europe too, including the U.K., Belgium, France, Netherlands, and Spain.

Last month Consumer Reports gave the Samsung Galaxy S7 a score of 79, and the Galaxy S7 Edge a score of 80, effectively rating these two smartphones as the best handsets in the U.S. More recently, several consumer magazines from Europe have revealed their thoughts on Samsung’s new premium lineup, and as it turns out Europeans have a similar view on both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. U.K.’s “Which” gave the Samsung Galaxy S7 a score of 93 and the edgier counterpart a rating of 92. The outlet added that the Samsung Galaxy S7 has been picked as the best smartphone in the market right now thanks to features including the powerful Dual Pixel 12-megapixel camera, the premium glass-metal design, the presence of a microSD expansion slot, and due to the fact that the new model is dust and water resistant. Similar top-shelf ratings for all major categories have been awarded by France’s Que Choisir, Test Aankoop in Belgium, OCU-Compra Maestra from Spain, and Consumertendbond in Netherlands.

At the end of the day, the Samsung Galaxy S7 series seems to enjoy a lot of positive media exposure and this is one of the reasons why some analysts have already revisited their sales forecast for 2016, increasing shipment figures for the first quarter of the year to nearly 10 million units. The Samsung Galaxy S7 series is also an interesting choice for virtual reality enthusiasts, as the latest models offer the best Samsung Gear VR experience available.
