Samsung usually releases quite a few handsets a year, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen this year as well. The company did trim their portfolio to some extent, but they still have quite a few sub-brands in the pipeline. The company has introduced their flagship Galaxy S7 devices last month, and have also introduced some ‘Galaxy A’ and ‘Galaxy J’ units in the last couple of months. Well, ti seems like new entry-level Galaxy device is on its way, read on.
The company has introduced the entry-level Galaxy J1 (2016) and Galaxy J3 (2016) already, while the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 have also surfaced recently. Well, it seems like this is not enough for Samsung, the company will also introduce the Galaxy J2 handset, and that phone has surfaced on Zauba quite recently. For those of you who don’t know, Zauba is an India-based import / export site which usually reveals upcoming devices before we even know they will arrive. The first-gen Galaxy J2 handset was introduced back in September 2015, and its successor might land sooner than expected. If you take a look at the image down below, you’ll get to see Zauba’s listing, and basically a confirmation that a new version of this phone is on the way. The price is also listed in the image down below, but don’t take that as a guideline for anything, those import test unit prices are usually way off. One thing is for sure though, this phone will be quite affordable, especially compared to the rest of Samsung’s lineup. The Galaxy J2 will sport an AMOLED display, though we still don’t know what specs exactly will it sport.
If the Galaxy J2 is any indication, the upcoming model will probably ship with 1GB of RAM and either a 960 x 540 or 720p (1280 x 720) display. You can expect its display to be somewhere between 4.7 and 5-inches big, and Android 5.1 Lollipop or 6.X Marshmallow will come pre-installed here, with the company’s TouchWiz UI on top of it, of course. There you have it, all that we can do at this point is sit and wait for more spec info, and for Samsung to officially introduce this phone.
