Smartwatches may not yet be mainstream and on the wrists of every smartphone owner, but they are continuing to rise in popularity. They’re also continuing to be more open, as Samsung’s Gear S2 smartwatch launched last year finally works with more than just Samsung smartphones, and is compatible with any Android device running at least Android 4.4 and up. Normally the Gear S2 would cost consumers a total of $299.99 for the base model, but you can currently pick it up on sale for just $249.99 for the standard U.S. model of the watch in Dark Gray.
The Samsung Gear S2 is equipped with a 1.2-inch round display and has a silicone strap on it that has an adjustable fit so you can make sure it’s comfortable on your wrist. While the watch does look stylish, it also has quite a bit of function with a rotating bezel that allows wearers to navigate the interface and complete actions. Since this is a smartwatch you’ll get notifications for texts, emails, social, calls and more, and you can send and reply to messages as well as control music playback. It also has a host of fitness-related functions and can track your steps, your calories burned, and more. It also has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, pretty standard for most smartwatches.
