Android has been the most popular operating system for quite some time now. There are tons of Android-powered devices out there, ranging from smartphones and tablets, to smartwatches and smart TVs. Speaking of which, tablets sales haven’t exactly been booming lately, and you have probably noticed that not many well-known OEMs are releasing that many tablet devices lately. Well, some less popular companies are trying to innovate in this area by combining the best of Microsoft with the best of Google. I am, of course, talking about dual boot tablets.

We’ve already mentioned a number of such devices, but not many of them have been released up to this point. Chuwi is a China-based company which has launched the Hi12 tablet in two variants, one sporting Windows 10, and the other one dual boot (both Windows 10 and Android 5.1). Unfortunately, the Hi12 is still not available in the dual boot version, but its sibling, the HiBook, definitely is. The Chuwi HiBook is now available for a pre-order through a number of Chinese resellers, including GearBest. We’ve talked about this device earlier this month, and if you’ve read that article, you probably know that this is a 10.1-inch tablet which will ship with both Windows 10 and Android 5.1 Lollipop on board. The Chuwi HiBook features a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 display, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by Intel’s Cherry Trail Atom-x5 Z8300 SoC, and it sports a USB Type-C port as well. The device sports a 5-megapixel camera on the back, and a 2-megapixel snapper up front, while a 6,600mAh battery is also a part of this package.
Now, this is a 2-in-1 tablet, which means that you can turn it into a laptop by utilizing its keyboard, which is unfortunately being sold separately. The Chuwi HiBook is available for pre-order from GearBest for $239, and pre-orders are opened until April 15th. We assume that the company will start shipping HiBook devices soon after that date. There you have it, if you want both Windows and Android in a single tablet device, follow this link and pre-order a copy of the Chuwi HiBook.
