Camouflaj Has Launched The Last Episode Of Republique

March 23, 2016 - Written By Justin Diaz

There was once a time on mobile devices that finding a great quality game with not only stunning visuals but a stunning story to match, was a rare thing. Those times are gone, and there are now a multitude of options for gamers who are looking to game on the go. Republique is one such option, a compelling stealth action game with a deeply immersive storyline, 3D graphics, and strategic gameplay through the choices you’ll have to make while trying to uncover the truth. When it was launched Republique only had the first few chapters available in the episodic series (a style of play not too unlike that of the offerings from Telltale Games), and developers Camouflaj had mentioned that remaining chapters were to follow in the future.

If you’ve been a fan of the first few chapters of Republique and have been consistently following the game awaiting the 5th and final chapter, that time has finally come as with the launch of ‘Episode 5: Terminus,’ the last chapter in the epic tale of a fight for freedom in a totalitarian state. If you’ve been playing Republique since the beginning, you may have already been set up to receive the 5th chapter by purchasing the season pass, which likely not only alerted you to its release before anyone else but also brought you the last piece of the puzzle at a discounted price.

There are a handful of changes to look forward to in Terminus, namely the security cameras which are now hostile and will actively be seeking out Hope (the main character) to scan her and alert her presence to guards. These cameras are set up throughout the chapter in different parts of the game space, so players will always want to be on the lookout for them with even more heightened awareness. In addition to added challenges from the security cameras, Episode 5 also introduces player choice, where gamers can choose a path to follow in the game or let Hope choose the path herself, which will ultimately determine the outcome of the game. With multiple paths, there should be multiple outcomes, and Camouflaj states that each path delivers hours of gameplay to enjoy which gives the new chapter some replay value. There are also new tools to craft and the player is able to revisit areas from previous chapters that take on a whole new look for a change of scenery. Of course, there will also be new player and character encounters on top of everything else. If you’ve already beaten the first four chapters of the game, you can grab the last chapter from the in-game store, or download Republique from the Play Store if it will be your first time playing.
