Nexus 5X & 6P Get Heavily Discounted In Europe Until Feb. 12

January 27, 2016 - Written By Kristijan Lucic

Last September, Google has, for the first time ever, introduced two Nexus smartphones at the same time. The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are manufactured by LG and Huawei, respectively, and have been available out in the market for quite some time now. The Nexus 5X is considered to be the budget Nexus handset, while the Nexus 6P is definitely the company’s new flagship phablet. This phablet is, according to many people, one of the best handsets of 2015, if not the best.

These two devices have been available to consumers all over the world for quite some time now, and we’ve seen quite a few discounts as well, mainly in the US though. Well, those of you who live in Europe will be glad to hear Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are now discounted on the old continent as well through the Google Play Store, but keep in mind this is a limited time offer. The 16 and 32GB variants of the Nexus 5X now cost €349 and €399 in Europe. The 32, 64 and 128GB Nexus 6P models are discounted to €549, €599 and €699, respectively. Keep in mind that the prices for the Nexus 6P apply for every Google Play Store except the ones in Italy and Finland. The Nexus 6P variants will set you back €599, €649 and €749 in Italy, respectively, so they’re €50 more expensive than in other European countries. The devices will be available at these prices until February 12th, so if you’re interested, make sure to jump on board before that date.

The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P sport the same fingerprint scanner, 12.3-megapixel camera sensor and software, while they both ship with stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well. The two devices are quite different in pretty much every other way though. The Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display, while the Nexus 6P ships with a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED panel. The Nexus 5X comes with 2GB of RAM, 16 / 32GB of internal storage, and is fueled by the Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor. Its bigger brother features 3GB of RAM on the inside, while 32, 64 and 128GB internal storage variants are available. The Nexus 6P comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor on the inside, and unlike the Nexus 5X, this device is made out of metal.
