With an app coming out for just about anything, it is likely that a pregnancy app to track cycles should not surprise anybody.  First Response, a longtime leader over the past 25 years in innovative pregnancy tests have just released the Pregnancy Pro Test – the first pregnancy test that syncs with your smartphone and provides an app that offers information and support that is personalized specifically for you.  The tester itself has Bluetooth wireless connectivity that synchronizes with the app on your smartphone.  They claim 24/7 cycle and pregnancy support from your phone and over 99-percent accuracy from the day of your expected period.  The app can be downloaded in the Google Play Store or on Amazon for the Android platform.

Certainly finding out if you are pregnant or not can be one the most exciting or terrifying experiences…depending on your circumstances.  First Response Pro will help guide you through your findings in three easy steps – start by downloading the First Response App – secondly, open the App and remove the test strip from the foil – and finally, follow the simple instructions on your display to connect the Pregnancy Pro test device to the First Response App.  This new app will provide you with the one thing you need most – information.  It will give you a step-by-step test assurance, will help provide a distraction to reduce the stress of waiting, offers tools and suggested next steps and provides trackers and estimated due dates so you can make informed decisions.

The First Response app will act as a women’s companion to help track menstrual cycles for personalized tracking for ovulation.  It will help track your pregnancy and tell you how far along you are and provide an estimated due date.  The app also will give you notifications – when you should get your period, when you are most fertile, weekly pregnancy progress alerts and an alert on when you are due.  Simple reminders of appointments, a way to keep track of questions you may have for your doctor, as well as a host of online resources concerning pregnancy are also available.

There is a price to be paid for the technology – the First Response Pregnancy Pro starts at $14.99, which is about double the cost of their traditional test kit, but many will find the features worthy of the extra dollars spent.  According to reports, First Response worked with Qualcomm to develop the product using research data in the US from women between the ages of 18 to 39.
