BRAVEN Unveils New 105 & 405 Active Series Bluetooth Speakers

This week at CES, there has been a number of wireless audio announcements coming through. In fact, BRAVEN announced two new additions to their BRV range only yesterday. The first was the BRV-XXL and the second was the BRV-BLADE LE. Both wireless speakers come with a number of typical BRV traits, including their staple durable build and added levels of protection. Today at CES, BRAVEN has announced another two audio products which will be joining their ranks. While the BRV options are more designed to facilitate the need for added protection, the two new offerings, the BRAVEN 105 and 405, are designed to cater to the active market. As such, they are far more portable, although still designed to be more durable than your standard active and portable speakers.

The BRAVEN 105 is the smaller of the two new arrivals and is one which is stated to be a “palm-sized” Bluetooth speaker and therefore, one which can easily enough be carried in the pocket, or to hang from a bag or bike without being too intrusive. That said, this is a speaker which comes with a decent level of power and battery life, in spite of its small design. BRAVEN states that the 105 will offer consumers up to 8 hours of continuous playback between charges. Not forgetting of course this is an IPX7 rated Bluetooth speaker and is therefore protected against water. In contrast, the BRAVEN 405, although smaller than the BRV speakers, is still designed to be more of a mid-sized Bluetooth speaker. So while this one won’t fit in the pocket, it will fit nicely on the gym floor or by the pool. Especially considering the 405 is also IPX7 rated for water protection. One of the benefits of the 405’s size is that it does naturally offer a more dynamic level of sound and also comes equipped with a much larger battery, which is said to offer up to 12 hours of playback in between charges. Not to mention, this one does also come with a USB port which can be used as a power bank to keep additional mobile devices charged.

For those interested in either the BRAVEN 105 or 405 Bluetooth speakers, BRAVEN has yet to firmly announce release dates, although they have confirmed that both speakers will be available in Q2 of this year. In terms of price, the BRAVEN 105 will be available for $59.99 while the larger BRAVEN 405 will cost $99.99. For those looking for that extra level of customization, BRAVEN has also confirmed that both the 105 and 405 speakers will be available in a variety of colors including Alpine, Black, Electric, Energy, Periwinkle, Raspberry and Sunset
