Vertu, who has been making Android smartphones for a few years now, have partnered with Bentley Motors to create the Signature Touch For Bentley. This is a new Android smartphone that is somewhat of a high-end device. Vertu has a 5.2-inch 1080p display here, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and paired with 4GB of RAM. Additionally, we have 64GB of storage along with a microSD card slot that can hold another 64GB of storage. The Signature Touch For Bentley also features a 21MP camera around back, and a 2.1MP front-facing camera. Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop (no word on an update to Marshmallow yet) as well as powered by a 3160mAh battery that does include Quick Charge 2.0.
All said, the specs do look pretty decent, although seeing the 9-month old Android 5.1 Lollipop on there isn’t too appealing. The Vertu Signature Touch For Bentley is going to be available starting at $9,000 and going all the way up to $19,000. Those looking to buy the Signature Touch For Bentley will be able to choose between eight leather colors, and 16 different stitching options. Bentley also notes that the Signature Touch features knurled side keys, as well as a unique pillow rail and a sound bar. Not to mention the 3D Bentley logo on the back. Vertu and Bentley have created a special app for the Signature Touch For Bentley, which will give customers exclusive content, as well as VIP access and special features. Bentley states that the Signature Touch For Bentley “balances high-performance technology, dedicated services and peerless build quality and materials”. As well as noting that Vertu has put its most vibrant display on the Signature Touch For Bentley here.
Vertu is known for making luxurious smartphones. We’ve seen a few from Vertu in recent years that sport an Alligator back. So the premium materials here on the Signature Touch for Bentley should be no surprise. Bentley and Vertu entered a 5-year agreement back in 2014, and this is their third smartphone together. Behind the Signature Touch, and Signature S. Currently there’s no word on when the Vertu Signature Touch for Bentley will be available, but it should be available in the coming months.
