Acoustic Research has been making speakers for over 60 years, that are always on the leading edge in design, whether it is with the internal components or their physical appearance.  As our thirst for wireless products continues to grow, so has Acoustic Research’s line of products.  At CES 2016, they introduced a new line of indoor/outdoor speakers that will be available in the Spring – the Saratoga, Santa Clara and Wireless Speaker complete with LED Candle – that are not only stylish, but very functional for an evening outdoor party.  Ian Geise, Senior Vice President of Acoustic Research says, “Acoustic Research built a line of wireless speakers with close attention to design as well as performance, resulting in great wireless audio and elegant designs that match their surroundings.  The timeless design and high-quality sound will ensure you have tunes running through this season and the next, while providing lights inspired by the skies.”

Part of Acoustic Research’s Elite Series, the new Saratoga Wireless speaker sports a 5-inch mid-range driver, tweeter and bass resonator with a full 20-watts of power to entertain your entire backyard guests.  When used in pairs, these Bluetooth speakers with reward you with true stereo wireless sound.  Not only will the Saratoga delight your party goers with sound, but multi-colored LED lighting modes they will also delight their senses.  You can choose from a Solid Mode to simply light the area, a color changing Breathing Mode and a Party Mode that reacts to the music being played.  Under normal circumstances the rechargeable lithium battery will last through most parties, but there is also an optional AC adapter that can keep the party going all night.  It also has an IPX4 weather rating, so if you see a storm approaching – no worries.  The Saratoga has a suggested price of $199.99.

Continuing with their new wireless speakers is the Santa Clara model running a little more modestly at $149.99 with two multi-color light options called “Breath” and “Beat” modes.  The Santa Clara packs big two-way driver system along with a bass resonator and 10-watts of power.  Their Bluetooth capability will allow them to connect to any smartphone, tablet or laptop, and they also have a 3.5mm aux-in plug to connect directly to your music source.  One can run two speakers for stereo and the built-in battery can give you up to 14 hours of wireless sound.  The case is IPX weather resistant so a little rain will not break up the party.

The Wireless Speaker with LED Candle is only $39.99 and will blend into any living environment, offering excellent sound and a form factor AR describes as “serene.”  The LED candlelight will help set the mood for a relaxing evening – designed for the indoor living area it is also durable enough to use on the outdoor patio or by the pool.  The rechargeable battery will last up 12 hours of playback.
