The ZTE Maven Goes Free As Part Of AT&T GoPhone Deals

December 7, 2015 - Written By Justin Diaz

Tis’ the holiday season, which for many means the season of giving but for retailers, it means giving customers discounts on services and products. AT&T is no different in this regard and for the holidays they’re offering up some phone discounts and other deals on GoPhone devices. The carrier has a number of different GoPhone’s on offer at special prices, but they’ll only be discounted for a limited amount of time, so any consumers who are looking to grab one of or some of these deals will want to act as fast as they can to ensure they get the best price and obtain stock as there’s no telling whether or not AT&T will run out of anything.

As part of the discounts, AT&T is tossing the ZTE Maven smartphone out to GoPhone subscribers free of charge, so long as customers also buy $45 of airtime to go along with phone. If you don’t need airtime however, the ZTE Maven will end up costing $39.99 at its regular cost, so you’ll want to weigh out whether or not the extra $5 is worth it. Aside from the ZTE Maven which runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, AT&T also has other phones on discount for the holidays, including the ZTE ZMax 2, the ASUS ZenFone 2E, and the Motorola Moto E.

The Maven is the only free phone with the purchase of airtime on offer, but the Moto E is being discounted down to just $14.99, which isn’t a bad price at all for an entry level device. If you’re fine with spending a little more cash for a new phone this holiday season, the ZenFone 2E GoPhone from ASUS is going for $59.99 as part of these discount deals, and the ZTE ZMax 2 will cost $89.99. Any of these prices should be available within local AT&T retail stores, but AT&T is also offering some deals to customers for online only purchases which end today. When buying from a select list of GoPhones and purchasing $25 of airtime, AT&T is discounting the devices by 15%, as mentioned though this particular deal is only available through today and only online at the AT&T website.
