In true Samsung fashion, the company has released a new color for a device specific only to a select market. Just like they have always done in the past, the South Korean electronics manufacturer shows that they are a constant brand. Now that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is available virtually anywhere, the company has announced a new color addition in the lineup. This additional color makes the range of Galaxy S6 Edge Plus devices available in Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, White Pearl, Silver Titan, and now in Pink Gold.
If you’re excited to get your hands on this new color variant, you might be disappointed to know that the color is only currently available to their Chinese market. Samsung has not disclosed information on whether or not they plan to sell the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in Pink Gold color in other markets where the device is available.
Despite the new color variety, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus remains the same device it was when it was first launched just a few months ago. The flagship smartphone comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and 518 ppi density. It is powered by a 2.1 GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7 processor with 4GB of RAM and the ARM Mali-T760 MP8 GPU. There is an onboard storage option of either 32 or 64GB. To take pictures from this device, it comes with a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The back camera is capable of recording 4K video and comes with the much-loved Optical Image Stabilization feature. As for the battery, the device packs in a built-in 3,000 mAh battery with wireless charging capability through Qi or a Powermat. Upon availability, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with TouchWiz UI on top of it.
With this new color variant added to the lineup of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, it is exciting to see how long the company will keep the color exclusive to their market in China. Customers who are interested in getting this color variant will either have to wait for it to be available in their country or purchase it directly from a Samsung store in China.
