As most of you know, Micromax is the largest India-based smartphone manufacturer. This company is actually second-placed OEM in the country, it is trailing behind Samsung, but they are trying to change that. Micromax tends to release a number of devices a year, and even though they’ve improved significantly in terms of specs, they still release mostly mid-range affordable devices, which are in high-demand in India after all. Well, Micromax has released yet another such devices earlier today, the Canvas Pulse 4G (E451), let’s see what it has to offer, shall we.

The Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) On-Cell IPS display, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor along with a Mali T720 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel shooter is available on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. The 2,100mAh battery is also a part of this package, and the Canvas Pulse 4G also comes with two SIM card slots and 4G LTE connectivity. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with some additions from Micromax, and the device measures 140.8 x 70.4 x 8.8mm.

”Our latest launch, Canvas Pulse 4G is our premium yet powerful product with Flipkart offering 3GB RAM and Octacore at a never before price reiterating our commitment to democratizing technology for the new age digital natives who want to be connected all the time. Our strategic partnership with Flipkart has helped us consolidate our strong foothold in the value for money segment of the online channel and with this launch we are aiming to target the premium segment of our target audience,” said Vineet Taneja, the CEO of Micromax Informatics.

The Canvas Pulse 4G is yet another mid-ranger in Micromax’s lineup, but it’s a phone with really good specs and an affordable price tag. The device is priced at only Rs. 9,999 ($149), which might make it appealing to a number of India-based consumers. The Pulse 4G comes in Black color option only, and will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting today, so head over to Flipkart’s website in case you’re interested, and if you’d like to take a closer look at the device itself, check out the gallery down below.
