Runtastic Launches a New ‘Runtastic Results’ App

November 12, 2015 - Written By Cory McNutt

Runtastic was founded in 2009 and has rapidly grown into an innovative suite of apps, products and services designed to track and manage health and fitness data of individuals that are serious about staying in shape and maintaining their health.  They were eventually acquired by the Adidas Group in 2015 and continue to pump out new products – their latest one is a new app for iOS and Android devices called ‘Runtastic Results.’  Florian Gschwandtner, CEO and co-founder of Runtastic said, “Runtastic Results is an app made for the motivated user looking to jumpstart their health and fitness routine.  The easy-to-follow training plan doesn’t require any additional equipment and is proven to show results.  I couldn’t believe how much stronger, happier and healthier I felt after just 12 weeks!”

The Runtastic Results app is design for users of all fitness levels – beginners to seasoned vets.  The Results app takes them on a 12-week path that should result in lower body fat by instructional bodyweight exercise…no additional equipment is needed as exercise videos and a comprehensive Health & Nutritional Guide are included.  Premium users start their transformation with a simple fitness test that allows the app to gauge where you need the most work.  From the results, a personalized training program is assigned that includes more than 120 step-by-step instructional exercise videos and a week-by-week health and nutritional tips.  Over the three-month period, the plans automatically adjusted to user feedback and experience, making the plan tailored to your individual needs.

The Runtastic team wanted to prove that an equipment-less workout that was customized for an individual and could be done practically anywhere could work for anybody.  In order to test out Runtastic’s premise, a massive employee, family and friends – 293 in all – tested the Results app first-hand and then shared their results.  The entire team put in over 3,000 hours of training and lost an average of 5.2-percent body fat.  The test group held two workouts per week together and each individual was required to do one to three workouts on their own.  Gschwandtner says, “I have been an advocate of strength training for over ten years.  Now with Runtastic Results, users can achieve total-body transformation, anytime and anywhere, with little guesswork.  There’s sometimes great value in getting back to the basics!”

The advantages of bodyweight training are that you can do them anytime and anywhere and no equipment, gym or trainer are needed.  If you are injured, bodyweight training can help strengthen you without the risk of further damage.  A person’s flexibility, balance and endurance all improve with bodyweight training.  The exercises can be adjusted and adaptable for all levels of physical fitness.  Besides the 12-week training plan, the Health and Nutritional Guide will help educate and inspire lifestyle changes.  While the program encourages you to work out in groups for added motivation, social sharing also helps individuals motivate themselves.  There is also no gym membership to buy or expensive equipment needed with bodyweight workouts and you can pick up the free app at HERE.
