Oukitel is a Chinese smartphone OEM which we’ve mentioned quite a few times thus far. Most of you are probably not that familiar with this company, but if you’re into smartwatches or big battery phones, Oukitel might be of interest. The company has released the K4000 mid-ranger with a 4,000mAh battery, while they’re preparing to launch the K6000 with a 6,000mAh battery, and the K10000 with a 10,000mAh battery. Aside from that, they’ve released the U10 smartphone which we’ve reviewed a while back, and they’ve just pushed out a smartwatch to the market as well, the Oukitel A29, read on.
We’ve talked about Oukitel A29 back in October, and the company has now officially announced this smartwatch. Unfortunately, the device doesn’t run Android Wear, but it has lots to offer nonetheless. This smartwatch actually ships with a micro SIM card slots, so you can basically use it to make phone calls and what not, though keep in mind you get 2G connection here. The smartwatch comes equipped with Bluetooth 4.0, and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. You’ll get a number of apps on the inside, such as SMS, Facebook, Twitter, Phone, etc.
You’ll, of course, be able to connect this smartwatch to your smartphone via Bluetooth, while you’ll also be able to use it as a remote controller. The watch sports a heart rate and sleep monitors, a pedometer, calorie consumption calculator, etc. The 320mAh battery is available on the inside, and Oukitel says it’s capable of handling 4 hours of talk time, 150 hours of standby and you’ll need to charge it for 2 hours from 0 to 100%. The watch sports a circular display, though it’s not a perfect circle considering it has a Moto 360-like black bar at the bottom. The watch is made out of metal, and its physical button is placed on the left-hand side of this smartwatch.
It is also worth mentioning that the watch is powered by MediaTek’s MT2502 SoC, while it also sports 64mB of RAM and 128MB of internal storage. The watch is available in Black, Gold and Silver color options, and it is now available for pre-order for $69.99. If you’d like to pre-order a copy, visit the source link down below.
