Disney is a company who has made many of our childhoods magical, and with the evolution of technology it has gotten more so impressive to see the beloved characters, new and old, transform into something we can interact with in so many different ways. If you enjoy mobile games and you have always been a fan of Disney content, there are tons of different Disney games on the Play Store to choose from to help you relive a few magical moments from your younger years, or, just to simply enjoy as new with memorable characters. Here’s our list of the top 10 best Disney games for Android.
Castle Of Illusion
If you owned a SEGA Genesis growing up, Castle of Illusion very well might have been one of your favorite games. Heck, it could have been your only game. Whatever the case, Disney has recreated this masterpiece into a stunning 3D world to play your smartphone or tablet. It’s a bit pricey, but well worth it if you enjoyed the original or if you’re a fan of Disney titles.
Temple Run: OZ
Temple Run is no doubt a great little game for passing the time, and it can also be quite addicting. If you’re a Disney fan then, it couldn’t get any better than mixing together the fast-paced gameplay of endless running with a memorable Disney franchise like the Wizard of OZ.
Inside Out Through Bubbles
This one may not be one some of you may recognize when it comes to the characters, but the gameplay should be all too familiar as there have been plenty of games like this before. It’s based on the movie Inside Out, and is essentially a bubble shooter where you’ll need to match up like-color bubbles for maximum effect to get them to pop for points. There’s quite a few levels to play through all mixed with a bit of puzzle-like element.
Disney Infinity: Toy Box 2.0
If you or your kids have a rather creative and imaginative mind and a love for Disney and MARVEL characters, this is an app you must have at your disposal. It lets you create tiny virtual worlds and games within them to play to your heart’s content all while playing as some of the most memorable Disney and MARVEL characters. You also get cross-platform access to your creations on console or PC so you can play on-the-go or at home without losing progress.
Frozen Free Fall
This is a match-3 puzzle type game so it certainly caters more to those who love to solve puzzles by matching up up similar objects. It offers up a massive collection of levels with over 650 to play through so you won’t be finishing any time soon, giving it tons of replay value. You can also connect up with friends on Facebook and it also supports Google Cloud save so you can play across devices.
Where’s My Water?
This is another puzzle title but not in a match-3 capacity, and tasks you with assisting swampy the croc (alligator?) in getting his broken down shower working again. The puzzles are purely physics-based so you’ll have obstacles to work around to get the water to where it needs to be and will have hundreds of levels to go through.
Big Hero 6 Bot Fight
Match-3 puzzle games are rather quite popular and this title based on Big Hero 6 follows this theme of gameplay. It does also add in some interesting elements to make it unique from the other match-3 games on this list, in that when you match up the different colored power cells they complete attacks in the fight against other bots. You can play with friends too, and as you play through the game you can collect and level up different bots to make your ultimate team.
Star Wars Rebels: Missions
With it being Disney you would have had to guess there would be at least one Star Wars game. Star Wars Rebels: Missions puts you in command of rebel fighter Padawan Ezra to take on the Empire by any means necessary. You’ll have access to all kinds of weapons like blasters and the infamous light saber, and you’ll even be able to pilot an imperial AT-MP. Gameplay is sidescrolling but still quite fun.
Where’s My Perry?
Similar to Where’s My Water?, Where’s My Perry? is a physics-based puzzler that once again has you using the element of water to solve puzzles. This time you’re not trying to move water to the broken shower though, and instead will be using water in all it’s forms to help Perry solve a mystery in each level.
Maleficent: Free Fall
Rounding out this list is Maleficent: Free Fall, a match-3 puzzler based on the popular villain in the well-known Disney classic Sleeping Beauty. The goal is simple as you’ll be playing through each level trying to match up similar colored gem stones, but you’ll also get to use the awesome power of Maleficent’s green magic to cast away gems, as well as enlist the help of her trusty sidekick Diaval to help rearrange gems for a potentially better match set.
