If you take a look at the image above this article you’ll get to see what Elephone posted on their Facebook page. Now, this definitely suggests a display with a 4K resolution, but is it a smartphone / phablet? Well, most likely, yeah. Some rumors have been saying that Elephone might announce a 4K TV, but judging by the company’s current portfolio, a phablet is more likely. The company actually teases this product by mentioning it could be a smartphone, TV, a VR product or something completely different. It is also worth mentioning that an additional rumor has surfaced claiming that this will actually be a handset, and that it will be called Elephone P10000.
In case Elephone really plans to announce a 4K smartphone, that wouldn’t be the first 4K smartphone we’ve seen, as you probably already know, Sony has announced the Xperia Z5 Premium during IFA in Berlin back in September. Whatever it is, Elephone will probably announce it before the end of the year, along with a number of additional devices we’ve mentioned above. This China-based company has been announcing really intersting devices this year, and it will surely going to be interesting to see what they have to share this time around. The Elephone P9000 will sport no bezel on the sides whatsoever, which makes it look really sleek, and the company’s Android Wear smartwatch, the ELE Watch, will be made out of metal and it also look really nice in the images that were sent to us a while back. That being said, stay tuned for more info, we’ll report back as soon as something pops up, one thing is for sure though, Elephone will be releasing quite a few devices before the end of this year.
