When Pebble launched the Pebble Time smartwatch it was finally bringing the aspect of color to an immensely popular smartwatch line, while also improving upon the original Pebble and Pebble Steel watches and adding new functionality. The always display is still using the e-paper technology to power the graphical side of things, but instead of a simple black and white it’s now in color to make things look more lively than before. The Pebble Time has kept one of the most popular features about the previous watches which is longevity of battery life as it lasts up to 7 days before needing a recharge. It’s also water resistant up to 30 meters which means you don’t have to worry about it getting wet in the rain or if you accidentally spill something on it.
Just like with other smartwatches the Pebble Time lets you keep up on notifications from email, messages, calls and more, and you can send voice notes, make voice calls, and send voice replies through apps like Hangouts, Gmail, Facebook, and others all thanks to the integrated mic. The watch is also customizable so you can personalize it to your liking with tons of different watch face options that at are available. Normally the Pebble Time costs $199, but it’s currently on sale for $149.99.
