Huawei Partners Up With Affirm, Offers 18-Month Financing

October 29, 2015 - Written By Kristijan Lucic

Huawei has been one of the most interesting, and most successful smartphone OEMs this year. The company has managed to achieve 60.9% year-on-year growth, and is currently placed third worldwide as far as market share goes. Huawei has announced a number of compelling smartphones this year, including the Mate S, Honor 7, Honor 7i… and they’re also expected to announce their Mate 8 flagship phablet before the end of the year. It is also worth mentioning that Huawei manufactured Google’s Nexus phablet this year, the Nexus 6P, and did a really good job according to consumers and tech sites alike.

That being said, you might be interested in some of Huawei’s products, if not their Nexus 6P phablet, then perhaps the Android Wear-powered Huawei Watch smartwatch? Well, if you did, and don’t have enough cash to get it, Huawei might have a solution for that. Huawei has partnered up with Affirm, and is offering 18-month financing on all purchases made at the company’s official store, the gethuawei.com. So, what does this mean? Well, you can basically purchase the Nexus 6P for as low as $29.89 a month, or Huawei Watch for $20.96 a month if that’s your thing. Huawei is also offering the P8 Lite handset, and MediaPad Pro tablet for $14.97 and $13.79 a month, respectively.

The company made sure to emphasize that there are no hidden fees here, you’ll pay what the phone’s worth, not a cent more. For those of you who haven’t heard of Affirm yet, that is a San Francisco-based financial technology company which was founded back in 2002. So, what’s the procedure here? Well, if you’re interested in any of the device, you simply head over to the gethuawei.com, add an item to your cart, checkout with Affirm, and that’s it. You’ll get the device and pay after the fact. Considering that the Huawei Watch, for example, isn’t exactly the most affordable smartwatch out there, this might be a great way for some of you to get it.
