This China-based smartphone OEM is making a significant push to the India smartphone market. The company has released a number of their device to the Indian smartphone market, and it seems like they intend to keep it up in the future as well. It also seems like Meizu will roll out their products to other countries soon, as the company has been teasing that announcement for September 23rd when they’ll roll out their Meizu Pro 5 flagship.
Meizu MX5 features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz along with a PowerVR G6200 GPU for graphics. The 20.7-megapixel camera is available on the back of the Meizu MX5, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. The non-removable 3,150mAh battery is also a part of this package, and same can be said about 4G LTE connectivity. Two SIM card slots are available here, and Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this smartphone. The device also offers a physical button below the display, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. Meizu MX5 offers Quick Charge capabilities, measures 149.9 x 74.7 x 7.6mm, while it weighs 149 grams.
The Meizu MX5 is the company’s current flagship, but for those of you who want to purchase the latest and the greatest, you might want to wait until Meizu announces the Pro 5 handset in less than a week. That smartphone will be even more powerful than the Meizu MX5, and it will almost certainly roll out to India in a month or two after Meizu announces it.
