LG Nexus 5X Battery Filing Leaks, 2,700mAh Unit In Tow

September 5, 2015 - Written By Kristijan Lucic

We’ve been seeing tons of Nexus-related rumors lately. Both the LG and Huawei-branded Nexus devices are said to be released soon, and a lot of info has been leaking from various sources. A couple of days ago, the LG Nexus 5X leaked. It is said that one of the Nexus devices will be called LG Nexus 5X, so it’s possible that Google won’t opt for the Nexus 5 (2015) naming, but will go with Nexus 5X instead. Another possibility is that they intend to release three Nexus handset this year, which is highly unlikely. Anyhow, the rumor which arrived the other day stated that the LG Nexus 5X will launch on September 29th, which goes hand-in-hand with the previous rumors we’ve received, which said that Google is holding a Nexus event on said date.

Anyhow, a new LG Nexus 5X leak surfaced, showing off the alleged battery filing for this smartphone. The device model listed is LG-H791, and according to this filing, the phone will sport a 2,620mAh battery, which will quite probably end up being a 2,700mAh unit. If you’d like to check out the filing yourself, take a look at the image below this article, or visit the source link down below. Now, it is quite probably that this is the LG Nexus 5 which was rumored so many times before, it is unrealistic to expect Google to release 3 Nexus handsets this year. That being said, this smartphone is said to sport a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, 3GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core SoC will fuel this phone, and you can also expect to see the Type-C USB 3.0 port on the bottom of this device. The phone will also, quite probably, feature two front-facing stereo speakers, and a 13-megapixel camera on its back, while a 5-megapixel snapper is expected to be included on the front side of this phone. The fingerprint scanner will also be a part of this package, and it is going to be located below the rear-facing camera sensor.

That is more or less it as far as specs of this phone go. A previous rumor said that this device will cost $400, and that it will arrive on September 29th. It’s quite possible that we’ll see more rumors before Gogole actually releases this device, so stay tuned for more info.
