Helio X10-Powered Letv 1S (X500) Pops Up On AnTuTu

September 16, 2015 - Written By Kristijan Lucic

Letv is a China-based company which managed to get people’s attention when they announced their first three smartphones dubbed ‘Le Superphones’. These three devices were unveiled back in April, and all three of them are well-specced and look rather similar to each other in terms of the general design, even though they’re different in size and sport different specifications. Letv has also teased the arrival of Snapdragon 820-powered handset recently, and the alleged back panel of that device surfaced a while back. That being said, another Letv-branded smartphone just surfaced on AnTuTu, read on.

The Letv 1S (X500) popped up on AnTuTu and showed off its mid-high end spec sheet. The Letv 1S will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. This smartphone will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) 64-bit octa-core processor along with a PowerVR Rogue G6200 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel camera will be available on the back of this smartphone, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be located on the phone’s front side. The listing also says that Android 5.0.2 Lollipop will come pre-installed on this smartphone, but that info might change before Letv launches this smartphone. It is also worth mentioning that this handset managed to score 45,623 on AnTuTU, and that the phone might sport a fingeprint scanner

Now, this seems to be a mid-range offering by Letv, but this smartphone can almost be considered a high-end device. By the looks of it, Letv is aiming to compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 2 mid-ranger, which actually sports somewhat similar specifications. If Letv intends on competing with Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, they’ll have to price this smartphone properly, which means tits price should be around 1,000 Yuan, perhaps a bit more expensive than that. It remains to be seen what happens, but pricing will play a huge part here, that might be the main factor when it comes to the Letv 1S’ sales. It is also possible that Letv plans to lower the price of the Letv Le 1, but we’ll see. Stay tuned for additional Letv 1S info, we’ll report back as soon as some additional info surfaces, because we still don’t know when Letv intends on releasing this smartphone.
