Announced earlier on in the week, Amazon is offering up a year of Amazon Prime for just $67 today. And today only. The usual price is $99. The deal runs through 11:59 PT tonight, September 25th. However, it appears that it is only available for new Prime users. So existing Prime users can’t tack on another year for $67.
Amazon Prime is a great service from Amazon, and it’s been around forever, basically. While it started out as a way to get free two-day shipping and discounted next-day shipping (typically priced at $3.99), it has morphed into something even larger. With the addition of Prime Instant Video, Prime Music and much more. It really makes it a great deal for anyone that buys a lot of stuff from Amazon and hates to wait for things to ship, not to mention you get access to some pretty sweet TV shows and movies. Prime users can also get early access to some lightning deals, which run basically all day, everyday. You can check some of those out right here.
While existing users can’t get Prime for just $67 today, you are able to buy a gift of Prime and use it once your year runs out. I haven’t tried this myself, but I’ve been told that it does work. You can buy the gift of Prime here.
