For all the mobile game lovers out there, if you’re feeling without anything to play this upcoming weekend which is likely starting early for some of you, fear not. We have you covered with a list of some titles you have to try out. There’s a good mix of stuff in here so there should be something to suit just about everyone.
PAC-MAN 256 Endless Maze
Yes, Bandai Namco has released a new PAC-MAN for us all to enjoy. It’s a bit different than you might remember though. As the title suggests, it’s an endless play style that has you attempting to eat as many pellets as possible while racking up the highest score possible, all while trying to avoid the glitch that’s eating up the maze. It features powerups and other cool elements too.
This one comes to us from Noodlecake Studios, and is an arcade with a fairly simple goal. Avoid the blades as you drag around your character on screen like a ragdoll. Each time you get hit with a blade you lose a body part, and when you get hit too many times you die and have to start over. There are also multiple characters to unlock and play which is a nice touch.
This one’s all about strategy. You’ll be going head to head on a grid layout against other color-coded teams. You can build up your base and hire mercenaries to help you in battle if you feel like you need an edge against your opponents, and if your squad isn’t strong enough you can upgrade your troops to dish out more damage.
Upong is casual, so it should feel easy to pick up and play any time even if just for a few minutes. It definitely has some elements of pong as you’ll have a paddle and a ball, you’re not playing against other players though. You simply use your paddle to shove off the ball and see how far you can keep it going. There will be obstacles in the way that the ball can bounce off of and come back your direction, and your goal is to bounce it back with the paddle and keep things going to rack up a longer distance and higher score.
Brave Knight Rush
This is an action title, and is a bit of a mix of a runner and action combat. You play as a knight who has to take down enemies as you run, you can equip various weapons and armor as well as acquire and use powerups to help you along. There are around 40 missions to blow through along with some boss fights to keep things interesting.
Blitzcrank’s Poro Roundup
This is for the League of Legends fans, although it’s quite fun and even people who don’t play League of Legends should enjoy it. Initially you play as Blitzcrank (a playable champion in LoL) who is trying to save the Poros from being eaten up by the monster Baron Nashor. When the fluffy little Poros get eaten, you lose a heart. Lose all three hearts and you die. Game over. Caput. However, there are various ways to avoid this. You can snatch up the Poros with Blitzcrank’s extendable arm grab, (which you’ll need to do) and you can bump the Poros forward by touching them. You will at some point have to snatch them up though. You’ll also encounter other champions which act kind of like a boss fight, and you can also grab random boosts which pop up. There are also multiple playable characters and unlockable items to equip to give you stat boosts.
