There has been a number of devices that have come through this year and caused their fair share of attention. This year has seen some devices which were considered to be a bit of letdown (compared to their previous generations) and there was those which seemed to excel expectations. Well, one device which gained a lot of good press was the ZenFone 2 from ASUS. This one came sporting a decent level of specs crammed into a very affordable priced unit. Not to mention, ASUS have been increasing the variants of the ZenFone 2 to further make the device available to more people. A few weeks ago saw the introduction of the even more affordable ASUS ZenFone 2E, which was an AT&T exclusive and priced at only $119.99.

Well, it seems ASUS is not quite finished with the ZenFone 2 yet, as they have today announced the launch of another variant. This one comes with one specific difference to the standard ZenFone 2 and that difference is a massively increased storage level. A 256GB internal storage level to be exact. The ASUS ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition, as it is being known, was announced today in Brazil and will go on sale starting from next month. That said, pricing was not provided for this bigger variant device and there was also no mention of whether it will become available in other markets anytime soon.
In terms of the rest of the specs, not much has actually changed and this is inline with the standard ZenFone 2. As a reminder, those specs include a 5.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside the ZenFone 2 comes equipped with 4GB RAM and powered by a 64-Bit Intel Atom (Z3580) processor (clocking at 2.5 GHz). As already noted, this version of the ZenFone 2 comes equipped with a much increased level of storage which is set as 256GB. As to be expected with a storage level this high, this is non-expandable. Moving to the cameras and the ZenFone 2 is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Additional features include dual-SIM support, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3G HSPA+ and 4G LTE. Last but not least, the ZenFone 2 comes equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery and comes running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box. For those looking for a bit more customization, the Deluxe Special Edition also comes with two colored back cases, black/red and white/red.
