ZTE has announced a number of premium smartphones this year. The company has released their new flagship, the ‘bezel-less’ Nubia Z9 back in May, and the Nubia Z9 Max phablet was launched before it. The company has also unveiled the Nubia MyPrague handset, and a couple of ZTE Axon devices. That being said, the Nubia Z9 might be the most interesting one out of the bunch. This device sports a unique design, it doesn’t sport any bezel on the sides (aside from the frame), and there are also no black bars there. The phone is made out of metal and glass, and it looks really sleek overall.

The company has announced three variants of this device back in May, the Classic, Elite and Exclusive variants. The Classic model comes with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the Elite model sports 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the Exclusive variants comes with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and ZTE’s TIO fingerprint sensor (implemented in the power / lock button and volume rocker buttons). That being said, ZTE has finally announced the availability of the Nubia Z9 Elite and Exclusive in China. Consumers in China are now able to register for a flash sale of these two devices on Jingdong Mall, one of the biggest retailers in China. In addition to all this, the Nubia Z9 Speed (LTE-A variant) will be available starting tomorrow, August 1st.

Let’s take a look at other specs of the Nubia Z9, shall we. Aside from the difference in RAM and storage, the three aforementioned variants of this handset are completely identical. The Nubia Z9 features 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display, and a non-removable 2,900mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 16-megapixel OIS camera is available on the back of the Nubia Z9, and an 8-megapixel shooter can be found up front. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels this phone, along with an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics. Android 5.0.2 Lollipop come pre-installed on this smartphone, and ZTE’s Nubia UI 3.0 is available on top of Google’s OS. The Nubia Z9 measures 147.4 x 68.3 x 8.9mm, while it weighs 192 grams. It is also worth mentioning that this is a dual-SIM handset which offers 4G LTE connectivity.
