Letv is a very interested China-based company which not many people have heard of outside of Asia. This company is actually best known for their video streaming business, but this company actually dabbles in all kinds of stuff. Letv has actually announced three new smartphones earlier this year, which is not something they’ve done in the past. These three devices are made out of metal, and sport high-end specifications. The Letv Le 1 and Letv Le 1 Pro are 5.5-inch smartphones, and the Letv Le Max is the company’s huge 6.33-inch phablet.

Speaking of the Le Max, this handset has received hands-on treatment in China which will give us a better look at Letv’s new phablet. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice quite a few Le Max images. This handset is huge, and even though its side bezels are really thin, it’s hard not to nice its size. It has become quite obvious that there’s a market for such devices out there, Google’s Nexus 6 is quite popular, and same can be said for Huawei’s P8Max phablet. As far as specs go, Letv Le Max is a true beast of a device.

The Le Max features a 6.33-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC, and a 3,400mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 20.7-megapixel OIS camera (Sony’s IMX230 sensor) is available on the back of this handset (f/2.0 aperture and dual ISP support included), while there’s a 4-megapixel camera available up front (OmniVision’s OV4688 sensor, 81.6-degree wide-angle lens). The fingerprint scanner is also available on this handset, and same can be said about 4G LTE connectivity which supports both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE speeds. This is a dual-SIM device, and it ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop with Letv’s EUI skin on top of Google’s OS. The Le Max measures 167.1 x 83.5 x 8.95mm, while it weighs 204 grams.

There you have it folks, the Le Max comes in Gold and Silver color options, and all three of Letv’s new devices will launch outside of Asia before the end of the year. Letv has confirmed earlier that the two devices will reach the US before the end of 2015, and other markets are also a possibility.
