As the android operating system continues to evolve, it is clear that Google see the end result of android being one which is as business and enterprise oriented as it is a personal operating system. This has become even clearer since Google introduced Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and Android M. Both of which, place more of an emphasis on business with their various Android for Work features, services and improved security and privacy aspects.

With such a direction in effect, the chances are that manufacturers will start to see the value in the operating system in the same respect and begin manufacturing products to better suit the business and enterprise sector. In fact, this is exactly what is happening now and the latest device to see android compatibility while being business focused is the Grandstream GVC3200. The GVC3200 is a video conference system but one that runs on Android as well, albeit Android 4.4 (KitKat). As a result of running on android, the GVC3200 is able to integrate apps like Skype and Hangouts and can connect directly to the Play Store offering users the ability to effectively download any video app.

Additional features on offer include a 1080p video camera which can utilize 12x zoom while the device also contains support for WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. Moving to the back of the device and the GVC3200 comes with a number of HDMI and VGA ports for direct connecting to multiple external monitors, TVs or screens. Not to mention, the conferencing system offers support for up to 9-way conferences. In fact, the GVC3200 also comes with a downloadable android app, which will essentially allow the user to use their android smartphone or tablet as a remote control for the unit. For those interested, the GVC 3200 is not quite shipping yet and instead is available to pre-order online.
