Acer has a ton of different devices ranging from smartphones to computers, and UK residents now have quite the affordable option at their disposal if they’re looking for a new mobile device as Acer has just announced a new phone called the Acer GO, a smartphone which is currently exclusive to Three UK’s mobile network. Acer’s aim is to provide users with an option that didn’t swap out quality performance or style for a lower price point, and that looks to be what they achieved with the GO. For customers not looking to spend a lot of money and are wanting an entry level device, the Acer GO just might suit their needs.

Acer’s new device is available via a plethora of different price plan options for anyone who may be interested in picking it up alongside a new plan, but Acer states that it’s also available as an outright buy as well, so for any existing customers who just want to pick up the device without a plan change, it’s entirely possible to do so. The phone outright will cost UK consumers who are also Three UK subscribers just £49.99, but they can choose to lump that cost into a 24 month tariff starting at £9 a month, which comes with an allotment of 500MB of data, 100 voice minutes and Three’s AYCE text plan which is essentially unlimited messages.
When it comes to hardware, Acer has fitted the GO with a 4-inch WVGA display, a 5MP rear-facing camera with auto-focus, LED flash and an 89 degree wide-angle lens, a 3MP front facing camera, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and 8GB of internal storage with expandable storage support of up to 32GB via microSD. It also comes with a 1300mAh battery inside, and it support Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, WiFi, GPS, and 3G network frequencies. It also sports Acer’s float UI, which lets users open and interact with multiple app windows simultaneously to allow multi-tasking. It also comes running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, so device users will be on the latest version of Android software which is always a benefit. The phone is already available online from Three UK’s website, and likely in local retail shops, and comes in a matte black color.
