Rumored Specs for Next HP Chromebook 11 Leak Out

June 26, 2015 - Written By Dennis Patrick

While HP only introduced the HP Chromebook 11 back in 2013, the company is looking to release the fourth generation of the device. That’s pretty incredible to hear, in a span of only two years time, a company is releasing their fourth generation of a particular device line. Nevertheless, we have the latest specifications surrounded by the HP Chromebook 11 which would seem to make a few minor upgrades compared to the third-generation HP Chromebook 11. Additionally, this Chromebook will be releasing at a very reasonable price for the general public that should likely make it more desirable in the market.

Chromebook’s are becoming more and more popular for their lightweight build and speedy operating system. HP has had their line of Chromebook’s out for awhile now and this year we’ll be seeing the fourth generation of their HP Chromebook 11. HP posted the official specification sheet for the HP Chromebook 11 fourth generation that will make a few upgrades compared to their third generation of the HP Chromebook 11. The HP Chromebook 11 fourth generation comes with an 11.6-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1366 x 768. However, there will also be an 11.6-inch WLED display with a similar resolution of 1366 x 768 late July of this year.

Cracking open this particular Chromebook you’ll find that it will be running an Intel Celeron N2840 processor while also featuring WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. HP is also releasing a variation model of their fourth generation Chromebook 11 that will include LTE and HSPA+ cellular connectivity support. As for storage, the two models available will be either a 16 GB or 32 GB eMMC, though for some consumers who may decide to install Crouton on the Chromebook will likely want to choose the 32 GB model.  Located along the sides of the Chromebook is an HDMI port, SDXC card reader, USB 3.0 along with USB 2.0. What may also make the HP Chromebook 11 fourth generation more appealing on the market is its price point. HP will be releasing the new Chromebook starting at just $219 rather than the $279 price point from the previous generation.
