Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Now Available For Purchase In China

May 11, 2015 - Written By Kristijan Lucic

Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi Note Pro handsets were announced back in January, they were unveiled as the company’s new flagship offerings. The Mi Note Pro is the more powerful of the two, but the Mi Note was the first to be released by the company. The Mi Note has been available for purchase in China for quite some time now, and Xiaomi has once again managed to sell a lot of units of this device via so-called ‘flash sales’. That being said, the time has come for the Mi Note Pro to step on the stage.

The company has announced a couple of days ago that the Mi Note Pro will be available for purchase starting today, May 12. Well, that has just happened, since a couple of hours ago, the Mi Note Pro is available in China for 2,999 Yuan. The device is available from Xiaomi’s official website, as usual, and via Xiaomi’s physical stores. This is the first time that the company is offering one of their devices in a physical store, Xiaomi is actually well-known for selling their devices exclusively online. It seems like the company managed to attract quite a few people to come purchase the device, and some of them even camped outside of Xiaomi’s Mi Home locations (which are actually showrooms and usually don’t sell devices) in order to be amongst the first to get their hands on the copy of the Mi Note Pro. There are a couple of images in the gallery down below if you’d like to check them out.

The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro features a 5.7-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) IPS LCD display along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. The Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels this handset along with an Adreno 430 GPU. The 13-megapixel OIS camera is available on the back of this phablet, and flanked by a dual-LED, dual tone flash. The 4-megapixel (2µm pixel size) camera is located on the front side of the device, and a 3,000mAh battery comes built-in to this device. Android 5.0.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on Xiaomi’s flagship with the company’s MIUI OS available on top of Google’s operating system. This handset offers 4G LTE connectivity, and two SIM slots are also available here.
