T-Mobile To Offer Free LG Leon For Prepaid/Non-Credit Check Plans

A recent email that was sent out to T-Mobile employees revealed that the carrier will be offering a free LG Leon LTE smartphone to select customers and plans. According to the email, the free device will be handed over to those who are looking to get into a prepaid plan or a Simple Choice No Credit plan offered through the carrier. TmoNews got a hold of an email from T-Mobile sent out to their employees. Within the email, employees were alerted that the upcoming LG Leon LTE smartphone would be available for free to customers that opt for a prepaid or Simple Choice No Credit plan. You will want to note that for those who enter a prepaid plan through T-Mobile will have to sign up for at least a $40 prepaid plan. Furthermore, there will be a select payment needed right from the very start and it will be different depending on if you sign up for a prepaid or the Simple Choice No Credit plan.

For starters, the LG Leon will be priced at $149.76 when it launches on May 20th. Now those who sign up for the prepaid plan will find that the smartphone will cost them $50. After you sign up for the plan, T-Mobile will give you a code to which it can be redeemed online for a $50 rebate. The Simple Choice No Credit plan will offer a similar rebate however those customers will be required to pay the full $149.76 up front in which the rebate code will grant them the entire $149.76 back. Additionally, potential customers will not be able to add on any other promotional coupon or discount toward the purchase.

As for the LG Leon, this smartphone features a 4.5-inch display that carries as resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Right out of the box the handset will be running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and consumers will have 8 GB of internal storage at their disposal though the device also features a microSD card slot. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 CPU. Lastly, this particular handset will include an 8-megapixel rear camera while the front will feature a 0.3-megapixel VGA camera.
