Meizu M1 Note is a mid-range offering by this China-based company. This handset has been announced at the end of 2014 and has been available in China for quite some time now. A number of resellers are actually selling this handset and shipping it worldwide, in case you’re interested. That being said, the M1 Note was one of the best mid-range offerings in 2014, and considering its price, it was a real bargain. It was just a matter of time before this handset launches in India, and that has just happened, following Meizu’s announcement that they’ll enter the Indian market today.
The company has announced today that they’re entering the Indian market with their M1 Note mid-ranger. The company has said that the M1 Note will be available for purchase exclusively from Amazon.in starting on May 20. This China-based smartphone OEM still did not reveal the pricing of the device though, so that’s a mystery at the moment. Keep in mind that this won’t be a flash sale or anything of the sort, you’ll be available to purchase this handset normally, no need to pre-register or anything of the sort.
The M1 Note sports a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of non-expandable internal storage. This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6752 SoC, a 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz along with Mali-T760 GPU (there is also Snapdragon 615-powered China-only version). The 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this thing, and a 5-megpixel snapper is available up front. Android 4.4 KitKat OS ships with this device with Meizu’s very own Flyme 4 UI on top of it. The 3,410mAh battery comes with the device and this handset offers dual-SIM, dual standby option for those of you who need to use two SIM cards in your devices. This is a 4G LTE handset which measures 150.7 x 75.2 x 8.9mm and weighs 145 grams.
There you have it folks, you’ll soon be able to purchase the M1 Note in India from Amazon. As a side note, Meizu will hold a press conference in Beijing on June 2nd, and by the looks of it, the M2 Note might be on the way. The conference has been confirmed, but we’re still not positive Meizu will launch the M2 Note, we’ll see.
