For most of us, having our location attached to pictures is cool. As you can see on a map where you took each picture – especially cool on Instagram’s photo map. But there are plenty of people that don’t want to have their location attached to their pictures. Luckily there is a way to disable it. It’s not quite the same as it is in the Galaxy S6, as it’s not available in the Camera app. But it’s still pretty simple to turn off the location, for those that don’t want it on, or might be paranoid.

What you’ll need to do is go into Settings > General > Location. Now towards the bottom of that screen, you’ll see an option for “Camera”. Which also says “Tag photos or videos with location”. To disable geolocation, simply uncheck that box, and you’re all set.
To remove the location from a photo you’ve already taken, simple go into the gallery and open the photo you want to remove the location from. Now tap on the three dots, aka the overflow menu. Towards the bottom you’ll see “Remove Location”. Once you tap on that, a popup will appear saying “Location Information will be removed from image. Remove?” And then just tap yes or no. Pretty simple, and easy to do actually.
The LG G4 camera is a pretty amazing camera, it’s taken some pretty awesome pictures for us. In fact, we are in the middle of a Galaxy S6 vs LG G4 camera shoot out – should be live in a few days. And so far it’s looking pretty damn close. As both cameras are pretty amazing, with LG’s f/1.8, it can grab some amazing low light photos. So you’ll want to stay tuned for that. We’ll have plenty more coverage of the LG G4, as well as its camera in the coming days, so make sure you stay tuned!
