HTC has announced the long-rumored One M9+ and One E9+ handsets in China and Taiwan earlier this month. Both of these devices are high-end offerings by the company, though there are some differences between them, we’ll get more into that a bit later. Anyhow, the company has confirmed that they don’t have plans to launch these two smartphones outside of Asia, but this Taiwan-based smartphone OEM has expanded the availability of the two devices today. HTC has announced both the One M9+ and the One E9+ in India today. The company has held an event in New Delhi India in order to announce the two handsets. The One M9+ will be available for sale on May 3 in India for Rs. 52,500, while the One E9+ will reach stores in the second half of next month. The company did not reveal how much will the One E9+ cost though.

The One M9+ will be available in Silver, Gunmetal Grey and Gold colors in India. This handset features a 5.2-inch QuadHD display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. MediaTek’s Helio X10 (aka MT6795T) 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz is powering on this handset along with a PowerVR G6200 GPU. The 20.7-megapixel camera is available on the back of this device and is flanked by a dual-LED flash. There’s also a secondary camera on the back which captures the depth perception. The 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera (f/2.2 aperture, 27.8mm wide-angle lens) is located on the front side of the device. The 2,840mAh battery ships with this device along with a dual BoomSound speakers with Dolby audio. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with HTC’s Sense 7 UI on top of Google’s OS, and the 4G LTE connectivity is also a part of this package. This handset also comes with a physical home button which doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

Unlike the One M9+, the One E9+ does employ some plastic in its build and it doesn’t sport the Duo Camera setup on the back nor does it have the physical home button on the front. This handset sports a 5.5-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 128GB). MediaTek’s MT6795M octa-core SoC is powering on this handset along with a PowerVR G6200 GPU. 20-megapixel snapper is located on the back (LED flash included) of the device, and a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera can be found on the front. This handset actually offers the same Android version as the One M9+, same can be said about its BoomSound stereo speakers. This is also a dual SIM device and it comes with a 2,800mAh non-removable battery.
