There has been a number of product unveils, in the past couple of weeks. Most of these obviously came courtesy of MWC at the beginning of March. Not to mention that of course, the big highlight points of the event were the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge along with the HTC One M9. Following on from this, last week saw the rather uneventful launch of the latest Sony device in the form of the Sony Xperia Z4, which seems to be destined for Japan only. Tomorrow, on the other hand, is the next big unveil and will see LG finally either confirm or deny all the rumors and speculation surrounding their latest flagship device, the LG G4. In fact, the latest round of specs and rumors came only this morning about what to expect from tomorrow’s event.
Well, before that big unveil occurs, BLU have announced a new device that they have just launched which goes by the tag, ‘BLU Selfie. Thanks to the rather apt naming of this device, the purpose, style and clientele that this phone is aimed towards, should be rather self-explanatory. As such, it will be of little surprise, that this is a front facing camera focused smartphone. In fact, the BLU Selfie will come loaded with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Not to mention, the front facing camera is also equipped with a dual-LED flash. However, the back camera is also nothing to be sniffed at, as the rear offering is also a 13-megapixel shooter.
In terms of the rest of the specs, the BLU Selfie comes equipped with a 4.7-inch display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. Inside, the BLU Selfie is loaded with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage (as well as a MicroSD card slot) and powered by an Octa-core MediaTek (MT6592) processor (clocking at 1.7 GHz). Not forgetting, the device also comes equipped with a 2,300mAh battery and running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) pre-installed. The BLU Selfie is now available to buy from Amazon, available in Blue, black or white and costs $249.99.
