Xiaomi started off this year with a bang, the company has already announced a bunch of devices including some great smartphones, the Redmi 2, Mi Note and Mi Note Pro, and a couple of other smart devices. We’re not here to talk about the company’s newest offering though, but something they announced last year. Xiaomi Redmi Note and Redmi Note 4G handset were one of the most popular Xiaomi-branded devices last year, and by the way, no, the 4G connectivity is not the only difference between the two devices, check out our Redmi Note and Note 4G page in order to find more. Xiaomi has decided to launch the Redmi Note 4G in India last December, and the device is still available in that Asian country via Flipkart, one of their biggest resellers.

Xiaomi has some good news for those of you who live in India and intend to purchase this device though, you can now buy it without the need to register or anything of the sort. This handset is now available for regular purchase, no more flash sales. Xiaomi said that they’re now making enough of these handsets that they can meet the demand without the need to hold flash sales every few weeks, though it’s also possible that the demand for the handset has gone down or something (the device didn’t sell out during the February 10 flash sale). Either way, those of you who are interested in purchasing this device, visit Flipkart and get a copy of your own.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G comes sporting a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display along with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 64GB). Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz is powering on this thing along with an Adreno 305 GPU for graphics. 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this handset, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found on its front side. 3,100mAh battery is also a part of the package here, and the device comes with Android 4.2 JellyBean pre-installed with Xiaomi’s MIUI 5.0 on top of Google’s operating system. This handset measures 154 x 78.7 x 9.5mm.
