The Gold-Plated Galaxy Note Edge Shows Its Face Again In A Bunch Of Images

Samsung surprised everyone when they launched the curved screen Galaxy Note Edge handset back at IFA in Berlin last September. This device launched alongside company’s Galaxy Note 4 phablet and it even borrowed its software features and the S-Pen. As we’re waiting for Samsung to unveil the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge handset on March 1st as part of MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, we did stumble upon some gold-plated Galaxy Note Edge pictures.

I don’t know if you recall, but this is not the first time we write about the gold-plated Galaxy Note Edge device though. Back in December we shared a few images of this Gold device which popped up in Vietnam, well, we now have a lot more to share and some changes have been made here as it seems. The device now has a very nice packaging in which it will ship, and the S Pen stylus also got the gold-plating treatment here. If you take a look at the images down below, you’ll get to see the whole content of the box. I have to say that I’m really not a big fan of gold-colored or gold-plated smartphones, but this actually doesn’t look half bad in my humble opinion, what do you think? This thing is plated with 24K gold, by the way, in case you were wondering. It seems like this device will cost more than the previously leaked one, at least it seems that way. The previously leaked handset was exclusive to Vietnam, we still have no information regarding this device though.

As far as specs go, nothing is changed here, this is still the same Galaxy Note Edge device that has launched back in September, only its appearance is different. The Galaxy Note Edge comes with a 5.6-inch 2K (2560 x 1600) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 128GB). The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz which comes with an Adreno 420 GPU for graphics processing. 16-megapixel OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera is located at the back of the device while there’s a 3.7-megapixel shooter included up front. The device measures 151.3 x 82.4 x 8.3mm and weighs 174 grams. Android 4.4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device with Samsung’s Revolving UX on top of it, while a3000mAh battery is also part of this package.
