Samson Unveils Meteor M2 Multimedia Speakers at CES

January 6, 2015 - Written By Cory McNutt

At CES 2015, Samson Technologies out of Hauppauge, New York, announced their new Samson Meteor M2 Multimedia Speaker System – allowing us to experience “the way music should sound.” Samson Technologies, started in 1980, became a pioneer in wireless microphone technology and today they are an industry leader in professional audio solutions, where recording artists, performers, educators and audio professionals use them worldwide. The Meteor M2 speakers are made from zinc die cast and are not only solid and durable, but also have a sleek and elegant look to them.  They are the idea size to provide sound for a desktop PC, laptop or even a tablet.  Because of their design and specs, the full metal Meteor M2 will provide a great sound for your music library, movie/video watching or your favorite games.

According to Samson, using its solid zinc die cast construction, along with its 2.5-inch drivers and rear-ported passive radiators, the Samson Meteor M2’s deliver an exceptional low-end bass and the mid and upper punch normally reserved for larger speakers or the systems designed with a separate subwoofer.  They also feature internal digital signal processing to optimize the voicing for fatigue-free listening.  Many people have moved away from an audio rack with an audiophile collection of pre-amps, amplifiers, tuners, turntables, CD players and huge speakers and are now using their computers, laptops and even tablets as our primary source of media entertainment.  This is where the Meteor M2s can come into play by dramatically increasing the volume and sound quality over our internal speakers.

The Samson Meteor M2 speaker system is ready to use right out of the box – a speaker cable is integrated into the passive speaker, as well as including an 1/8-inch Aux cable to connect the speakers to your computer, tablet, smartphone or MP3 player.  On the side of the active speaker, you will find a Power button and a Volume (+/-) button to make quick adjustments.  The zinc die cast construction looks great in any environment – home, office or boardroom.

Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know if you own a pair of desktop speakers like the Samson Meteor M2’s or if you are considering making a purchase…as always, we would love to hear from you.  The Meteor M2’s are available now for $149.99.
