Well ladies and gentlemen, if you are a Nexus owner then today is a monumental day. Well, that is, if you are a Nexus 7 LTE owner. It is not news that Nexus devices typically get updates from Google quicker than any other device. That is one of the benefits of being a Nexus device. You are first in line for the Google treatment. And with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) being a seriously big upgrade, then you can be sure Nexus owners were biting at the chomp, to get their hands on this update as quickly as possible. And they did not have to wait too long, as soon after releasing the source code to the AOSP we began to see Android 5.0 updates rolling out,

That is, except for two particular Nexus devices. For some reason, the Google Nexus 7 LTE 2013 and the Google Nexus 7 LTE 2012 were both largely overlooked when the updates were rolling out. Once Android 5.0 landed for the other Nexus devices, they also in time begun to see an Android 5.0.1 update arriving. This was also followed more recently by an Android 5.0.2 update arriving. That said, all through this time, neither of the Nexus 7 LTE devices, were receiving their initial Lollipop update. Not to mention that a number of other non-Nexus devices started getting their Lollipop updates rolling out, from their respective manufacturers. In fact, it was reported about a month ago that even CyanogenMod managed to port CM12 (their take on Lollipop) out to the Nexus 7 LTE 2013, albeit a nightly version.

Well, if you own either of the two Nexus 7 devices in question then it finally looks like your wait is over. It seems Google has indeed now updated their nexus factory image for both devices and they are ready to download and install. You can follow the source link below to head over to the Google Developers page and grab your download or alternatively just click on your device link below.
