Vivo X5F Gets Certified By TENAA, Take A Look At X5 Max’s Smaller Sibling

Vivo X5 Max information has been leaking back and forth for a while now, but the device will launch at Vivo’s event tomorrow. The invites have been sent a while ago and the company will finally announce the new king of thin phones According to first information we received, this handset will be 4.75mm thick, which is 0.10mm thinner than the Oppo R5, currently the thinnest device in the world. The latest rumors, however, claim that X5 Max will be only 3.96-3.98mm thin, which is just insane. Either way, we’re about to be amazed at how thin a phone can be and how poor its battery can be at the same time.

It seems like Vivo X5 Max is not he only X5 handset Vivo is planning to release, Vivo X5F just got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent of the FCC) and it seems we’re looking at a mini version of X5 Max. According to the listing, X5F will be 6.3mm thick at its thickest point, the camera, the phone itself will be somewhat thinner. The phone will feature a 5-inch TFT 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 128GB). This handset will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz (quite probably a MediaTek chip, but we’ll see). 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this device, while a 5-megapixel snapper can be found on the front of this device.

You can see the looks of this device in a gallery below. We still don’t know when Vivo intends to launch this thing, could it be launched next to the Vivo X5 Max tomorrow or will Vivo wait a while before they launch this thing? We’ll find out soon. As for the device itself, it basically looks like a mini version of the X5 Max, which is to be expected. This means the device will look rather sleek and might attract consumers based on its look, though the main selling point of this handset is of course its thickness, or should I say thinness.
