It is the start of a new week and Android 5.0 (Lollipop) seems to be continuing its rollout to devices. On Friday, it was reported that LG G3 owners in the UK had begun seeing the Lollipop update land on their devices. However, this was only for Vodafone users of the device. It seemed Vodafone were the first UK carrier to begin pushing out the update to their LG G3 owners. That said, reports are now starting to come in that the unlocked version of the LG G3 is also starting to receive the update. So if you do own an unlocked version of the LG G3 then you should start seeing the update landing anytime in the next few hours and days.

This now means that LG G3 owners in the UK who either own a Vodafone or unlocked version are moving on to Lollipop. At the moment, there are no details on when the other UK carriers will begin rolling out the update to their respective LG G3 devices. That said, it shouldn’t be too long before this happens. The LG flagship device in the UK seems to be getting a deal of work done with it and as such it will probably be only a matter of days before the other carriers are ready to send out their OTA’s. It is worth noting that the unlocked LG G3 update is quite a hefty one with the update weighing in at 522MB. If you haven’t picked up an LG G3 yet then maybe this will be a good time to do so. This is one of the most popular phones of the year and at the moment you will probably find quite a few deals going over Christmas on this handset.
